Kingaroy Swimming Club

Welcome to the website of Kingaroy Swimming Club. Like many clubs it is managed and operated by volunteers, so this web page is set up by an very amateur web page designer.

Kingaroy is a rural Queensland town about 2 1/2 hours north west of Brisbane. The weather is pretty warm from October to March but quite chilly during the winter months when nobody is too keen on swimming.

Kingaroy Swimming Club is a vibrant active club with about 80 swimming members aged from 4 to 18.
A club handbook is produced each season outlining the rules of the club, swimmer's code of behaviour, club night programme and other information on the club.

The club holds weekly Club Nights on Tuesdays at 6pm at the Kingaroy Aquatic Centre from October to March. Club nights are run on a handicapping basis to create interest, competitiveness and to give each swimmer a fair chance of winning.

The annual Kingaroy Open Swim Meet is held in November and has the reputation of being a well-run carnival with competitive swimming in all age groups.
The executive meet the first Monday of each month at the clubhouse at 7.30 pm and all families are encouraged to attend.
Membership of the club is open to all persons who are defined as 'amateurs' by the Queensland Swimming Association (QSA) rules.
